The Songwriter published in the UK on March 4
A brand new novel about love and bombs, set in New York at the outbreak of the Great War.
Following the lives of three characters, Monroe, a song-plugger on Tin Pan Alley, Inez, a rich Midwesterner who is slumming it by working as a fashion model in a department store and Anna, a Russian radical who has come to America to preach free love, the story is set against the birth of the jazz age.
Launch with a reading and a glass of wine at Waterstones, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow on March 4 (6.30-8pm). All welcome.

Beatrice's short story, Toad, was broadcast by the BBC in October 2008. It was written to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows.
